Does a self-anchoring tool make ladder work safe?
No. It reduces the forces you apply from an unstable position, which is a genuine benefit, but ladder, platform and fall-protection requirements are entirely unchanged.
Can I use the anchored tool as a handhold?
Never. It is anchored to resist its own drilling loads, not to support a person.
