GRABO core drill attachment
Coring without bolting the rig down.
The idea
Fixing-size holes are limited by the machine's 40 mm bit capacity. Larger penetrations are cut with diamond core tooling, which needs a rigid, well-anchored base.
A vacuum-anchored core attachment provides that base without drilling and bolting an anchor first.
Practical considerations
Coring reaction forces are substantially higher than drilling a fixing hole — the surface and the seal have to be correspondingly better.
Wet coring produces slurry, which is hostile to vacuum sealing. Plan attachment away from water paths.
