Anchors are systems, not fasteners
A qualified anchor is approved as a system: a specific anchor, in a specific diameter hole, at a specific embedment, in a specific base material, cleaned in a specified way. Change any of those and the published capacity no longer applies.
Where the tool fits
Diameter is set by your bit, embedment by the depth sensor, and perpendicularity by the guide column. That covers three of the four variables mechanically rather than by operator judgement — see hole accuracy and tolerance.
Cleaning is still on you
Adhesive anchors fail at the bond line, and the most common cause is a dirty hole. Follow the manufacturer's brush-and-blow cycles even when drilling with extraction.
Rebar
Hitting rebar changes the job. Stop, reassess, and follow the structural engineer's direction — cutting reinforcement is not a decision for the drilling operative.
