VACDRILL for maintenance and facilities crews

Drilling in a live building, without shutting the room down.

The job

Facilities work is low-volume and high-consequence: a handful of holes, but in a corridor, a ward, a shop floor or a server room where dust and disruption are the real cost.

Where the tool fits

Capture-at-source dust control changes what is possible in occupied space. The tool is sealed against the surface before drilling starts, so the base is already most of a shroud.

Predictable depth avoids the classic maintenance failure — punching through a wall into whatever is on the other side.

Unknown substrates

Older buildings hide surprises: voids, services, previous repairs, unexpected renders. Scan first, and treat a sudden change in drilling resistance as information.

Suspect materials in older stock may require an asbestos assessment before any drilling.

Working quietly and cleanly

Dust extraction, contained spoil and no repeated repositioning make the job less intrusive — which in occupied buildings is frequently the deciding factor.
