VACDRILL for restoration and heritage work

You cannot clamp to something you must not mark.

GRABO tool in field use

The job

Conservation and restoration fix into historic masonry, stone and render where the fabric is protected and any avoidable damage is unacceptable.

Where the tool fits

Vacuum attachment applies a distributed pressure over a pad area rather than a point clamp, and it leaves nothing behind when released.

Dust capture protects both the fabric and the interior.

Serious caution on substrate

Historic masonry is frequently soft, friable and porous — often the worst case for sealing, and sometimes too weak to take the pad loading at all.

Test on a discreet area, and accept that on some historic fabric vacuum attachment is simply not appropriate. See porous vs non-porous.

Consent

Protected structures usually require consent before any intervention. That is a legal question, not a tooling one.
