What it is
A vacuum mounting base that provides the anchoring function for other equipment, referenced in GRABO material for anchor installations and core drilling.
Why a mount alone is useful
Core drill rigs are conventionally anchored by bolting the base down — which requires drilling an anchor hole first. A vacuum base removes that step and leaves no fixing hole behind.
That matters on finished surfaces where an extra hole is unacceptable.
Considerations
Core drilling generates larger reaction forces than fixing-size holes, and wet coring introduces slurry. Both interact with sealing — see VACDRILL vs a core drill rig.
